Candace T. LamAttorney
Candace T. Lam is an associate attorney at Walton Law, APC. She dedicates her practice to representing personal injury victims and employees who have been wronged by their employers. Candace has a passion for her work and was led to her current practice after successfully representing a family member who was injured in a life-changing accident. She finds her ability to vigorously represent her clients a result of both her work experience and personal understanding of victim suffering.
Candace began her attorney career practicing labor law and also litigating real estate and corporate matters. She then went on to handle premises liability, sexual misconduct, property damage, and products liability cases, obtaining impressive results in each of these practice areas. Her detail-oriented approach to each case has brought success to her clients at all stages of representation, from pre-litigation to trial.
Candace graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Environmental Conservation. After college, she lived abroad and traveled extensively, ultimately landing in California. Candace first gained civil litigation experience as a legal assistant in a busy downtown Los Angeles law firm. She then went on to earn a J.D. from Santa Clara University, School of Law.
In law school, Candace was named Best Oral Advocate in Moot Court and served as Technical Editor of the Santa Clara Law Review. She also led the Environmental Law Society as its President. She served as a summer extern in the Los Angeles Superior Court, where she attained firsthand experience ruling on law and motion. She additionally earned a High Technology Certificate for her study of intellectual property law and was chosen by Sun Microsystems to work as an intern in the Trademark Department. After law school and upon passing the Bar Examination, Candace was selected by the State Bar of California to grade the essay portion of applicant exams.
In her free time, Candace likes to perform as a singer, hike in the beautiful outdoors, and play at the beach with her family. She also enjoys competitive races and has appeared in Triathlete magazine.
