Christopher C. Walton is the principal of Walton Law, A.P.C., where he concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, nursing home abuse/neglect and financial elder abuse. Early in his career, he spent several years working on behalf of insurance companies to defend businesses and individuals accused of causing harm to others, but now dedicates his practice exclusively to helping people – not insurance companies – who have suffered catastrophic injuries or loss due to the negligent or intentional acts of others.

Mr. Walton earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a Minor in English from Western Washington University, where he was listed on the President’s Honor List. He then went on to obtain his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law, where he graduated with honors, cum laude. While attending California Western, he was regularly listed on the Dean’s Honor List and awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship for superior academic achievement. He was further awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence in Trial Practice, Advanced Mediation Advocacy and his Clinical Internship. In his final year at California Western, he won the Environmental Law Negotiation Competition and was selected to compete nationally on behalf of the law school.

Following law school, Mr. Walton gained invaluable civil litigation experience working for the reputable firms of Greer & Associates and Berman & Reidel, LLP. At both firms, he gained a broad range of experience in all aspects of civil litigation, from initial client meetings all the way through trial. Prior to founding Walton Law, A.P.C., he was the Managing Partner of Webb & Walton, LLP.

Mr. Walton remains active in the community by volunteering his time with the Service Members Civil Relief Act, where he protects the legal rights of members of our military while they are deployed. He also volunteers his time mentoring law students through the Mentorship Program at California Western School of Law. In 2011 and 2012, he was elected by his peers to serve back-to-back terms as Co-Chair of the Elder Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association.

Mr. Walton is presently a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, North County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, and the American Inns of Court, Honorable William B. Enright Chapter. He is admitted to practice law in the State of California and in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central and Eastern Districts of California.
